Sell Gold Coins in NYC
NYC Coin Buyers pays strong, transparent prices for gold coins of every kind, from one-ounce bullion coins to scarce pre-1933 U.S. gold. Bring a single piece or an entire holding to our downtown Manhattan office for a free, in-person appraisal, and leave the same day with cash or a same-day wire.
Gold coins split into two groups, and we value each the right way. Modern bullion coins trade close to their gold content, while older and scarcer coins can carry a collector premium well above melt. We check every coin against both, so you are never paid flat melt for something a collector would pay more for.

How we price gold coins
For bullion coins, the offer starts from the live gold spot price times the coin’s actual gold weight, then reflects the premium that specific coin carries in the current market. Larger, clean, recognizable lots earn the tightest spreads to spot.
For pre-1933 and other collectible gold, we look past melt entirely for the date, mint mark, and grade. A common-date Saint-Gaudens double eagle is priced differently from a better date or a high grade, and certified coins in PCGS or NGC holders are valued against published guides and recent auction results.

FAQ
Sell Gold Coins in NYC: common questions
How much can I get for a 1 oz American Gold Eagle?
A one-ounce American Gold Eagle is paid from the live gold spot price plus its market premium. Because the price moves throughout the day, call 347-650-4078 for today’s exact number, or bring it in for a free appraisal.
Do you buy pre-1933 U.S. gold coins?
Yes, and these are a specialty. Liberty, Indian, and Saint-Gaudens gold in $2.50 through $20 denominations often carries a collector premium above melt, especially in better dates and grades. We price each coin individually.
Is it better to sell gold coins in person or online?
In person you keep the coins until you accept an offer, you see how the number is built, and you are paid the same day. Mailing gold to an online buyer means shipping risk and waiting, with no chance to compare in real time.
